What Steam says about the safari truck

Sources checked Steam appdetails short description, About headings, Early Access developer notes, and store screenshots, 7 Nov 2026.

Quick answer

The Steam short description calls the Safari-TV vehicle a fully destructible, physics-based truck. The About heading shortens that to a physics-based safari truck.

The Early Access current-state answer says you upgrade your equipment. The full-version answer says more upgrades are planned. Neither answer names a part, a price, or a menu.

Store screenshots show a yellow open-sided truck, a cab with a speedometer, a missing body panel, and characters carrying a spare tire. Those frames are not a parts catalog.

Windows is the only platform marked true. The GPU lines are a GTX 1060 or RX 6600 XT at minimum, and an RTX 2060 or RX 7600xt or equivalent recommended.

The truck is the thing the store puts in the second sentence and the second heading. This page collects those lines and the frames that show the vehicle. It does not invent a handling model, a durability number, or an upgrade tree.

The two official sentences

The short description says you “drive a fully destructible, physics-based truck.” The About This Game heading says “Drive a physics-based safari truck.” Both are on the Steam page for app 5118500. “Fully destructible” appears in the short description and in the page’s meta description. It does not appear as a stat block.

Driving is also one of the popular user-defined tags on that page (Driving, Physics). Tags are not the developers’ feature list. The sentences above are.

Equipment upgrades

The Early Access “current state” answer says the playable core includes “upgrade your equipment.” The “full version” answer says the plan is to add “more locations, wildlife, upgrades, and gameplay variety.” Read together, equipment upgrades exist in the build they are describing, and more upgrades are planned after Early Access. The notes do not name:

  • a part, tool, or attachment
  • a currency or a cost
  • a menu, a level, or a branch
  • whether an upgrade is shared by the crew or owned by one player

Until a patch note or the client prints the list, the only safe wording is the developers’ own: you upgrade equipment, and more upgrades are planned. The guide quotes the Early Access answers in full.

What the screenshots show

These are official store thumbnails, 600×338, saved with the rest of the Steam art. Each one is a single promotional frame.

The wide shot is a yellow open-sided truck with a canopy, passengers along the side benches, a large grey animal beside the cab, and a character in the foreground holding a camera.

The cab frame is first-person. A speedometer is on the dash, and a swarm of insects covers part of the windshield. A passenger sits at the right edge. The store text does not explain the swarm.

Another frame is a close view of the same yellow body with a side panel missing and loose parts on the ground, including a cardboard box. That picture is consistent with “fully destructible.” It is not a measurement of how many hits a door takes.

A forest frame shows characters carrying a spare tire and a box, with the yellow bodywork in the foreground. The store does not say the tire is an upgrade, a repair, or a joke prop.

One more frame, not shown above, is the inside of the passenger benches with savanna outside the open side (screenshot ss-00.jpg in the art folder). The library hero uses the same open truck, crowded with stylized passengers, one of them holding a camera, and a giraffe behind the canopy.

The PC the store asks for

The truck page is not the spec page, but the requirements are the only hardware numbers Steam printed. Minimum graphics are a GTX 1060 or RX 6600 XT. Recommended graphics are an RTX 2060 or RX 7600xt or equivalent. Both blocks ask for DirectX 11, broadband, and 5 GB. Minimum OS is Windows 10. Recommended OS is Windows 11. macOS and Linux are false, and those requirement lists were empty. The odd “1 MB RAM” line is discussed on the guide. It is quoted there so it is not quietly corrected into a guess.
